Epoxy Flake Floors
Vinyl color chips broadcast into a 100% solids epoxy base and locked under a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. It's the floor we install more than any other, because it looks good on day one and still looks good ten years later.

Where Epoxy Flake Floors Can Be Used
Flake works anywhere concrete takes abuse and needs to stay clean. The texture hides dust and tire marks, and the topcoat shrugs off water, sun, and chemicals, so the same system covers a two-car garage, a covered patio, and a 10,000 sq ft shop.
- Residential garages and carports
- Workshops, barns, and metal buildings
- Patios, porches, walkways, and pool decks
- Basements, laundry rooms, and mudrooms
- Auto shops, detail bays, and showrooms
- Retail floors, gyms, vet clinics, and locker rooms
- Warehouses, storage rooms, and light manufacturing
Why Choose Epoxy Flakes
A flake floor isn't paint. It's a bonded, seamless coating system that becomes part of the slab. Compared with bare concrete, tile, or a roll-on kit, it holds up better and costs less over its life.
- Hot-tire resistant: the polyaspartic topcoat won't lift or peel under a warm tire
- Hides dirt, dust, and stains between cleanings
- UV stable, so outdoor and sun-facing floors don't yellow or chalk
- Seals porous concrete against oil, salt, and moisture stains
- Installed in one day on most garages, back in use within 48 hours
- 30+ color blends to match trim, cabinets, or brand colors
- Backed by our 15-year residential warranty against peeling
The Installation Process
Every floor gets the same prep whether it's 400 square feet or 40,000. Most of the work, and most of the difference between a floor that lasts and one that peels, is in the first two steps.
- Estimate & moisture testWe measure the space, check the slab for moisture and existing coatings, and pick a blend and finish with you.
- Diamond grindingIndustrial grinders with dust extraction open the pores of the concrete so the epoxy bonds mechanically. No acid etching.
- Crack & spall repairCracks, chips, and joints are filled with a fast-cure repair mortar and ground flush.
- Base coatA pigmented 100% solids epoxy or polyaspartic base coat is rolled on and back-rolled for even build.
- Flake broadcastVinyl chips are broadcast into the wet base coat to full refusal, so no base color shows through.
- Scrape & vacuumOnce cured, loose chips are scraped off and vacuumed, leaving a uniform, lightly textured surface.
- Clear topcoatA UV-stable polyaspartic clear coat locks the chips in and adds the gloss, chemical resistance, and optional anti-slip grit.
- Cure & walk-throughWalk on it the next morning, move light items back after 24 hours, and park after 48. We walk the floor with you before we leave.
Safety Features
Flake floors are used in commercial kitchens, hospitals, and fire stations for a reason: they're easier to keep safe than the concrete they cover.
- Built-in texture from the chips gives more grip than smooth concrete or tile
- Optional anti-slip aggregate in the topcoat for wet areas, pool decks, and entries
- Seamless surface with no grout lines, cracks, or edges to trip on
- Light-colored blends brighten garages and shops and improve visibility
- Chemical resistant, so spilled oil, gas, brake fluid, and cleaners wipe up instead of soaking in
- Low-odor polyaspartic topcoats let you back in the space the same day
- Cove base and drain detailing available where floors need to be washed down
Maintaining Your Epoxy Floor
There's no sealing, waxing, or refinishing schedule. A little routine care keeps a flake floor looking new for years.
- Sweep or dust-mop as needed; rinse with a hose or mop with warm water and a neutral cleaner
- Wipe up oil, gas, and chemical spills when you see them
- Skip harsh solvents, citrus strippers, and abrasive pads
- Put a pad under jack stands, kickstands, and sharp steel edges
- Lift heavy equipment instead of dragging it across the floor
- If a section ever dulls after years of hard use, a fresh clear coat brings it back without redoing the floor
